Well, the sketching took all of 10 to 15 minutes. Then the linearting took about 30 mins. And the coloring, I would say anywhere from an hour to two hours. So almost three hours to do the entire thing.
I love how this looks. The lines look simply amazing- and the coloring is lovely. I also adore how you did her hair- and the shading is also magnificent. You have improved allot already in the short time iv been watching you- i cant wait to see what you do next..!
Thank you so very much. I was actually really displeased with the coloring of the hair, but I'm glad that it was to your liking. I had to do everything so many times, but after hearing comments like this, I feel it was worth it. Thank you for watching me, and I hope I don't disappoint.
Well, the only thing i notice is that some of them overlap, or you can see edges around the coloring.. The only thing id suggest to help fix that is to try using layers if you dont already. Id suggest putting all of them on different layers- one of the body, one for clothing, one for hair. Or, miss match them (Like for how this is, id suggest using two different layers for the hair, then merging them together so that the ear is above the hair, but the face is covered by the other part.) And it should help a bit. :3 That's what i do in my paintings- it works pretty well for the most part, just have to keep track of the different layers. But, even if you dont- the way your progressing ensures that you'll find your own way. :3 And yeah, it is discouraging when a picture doesn't look quite right, or when you have to re-do things so much. But- the result it amazing, and you should feel proud. :3 Also- No thanks is needed. Your artwork is lovely, and im sure you wont disappoint..! No art work ever does when it has work put into it. :3
Yeah, that was because I kinda messed up the lineart and it didn't look right when I tried to fix it, so I just let it be and colored over it. I already do the different layers thing but thanks so much for the suggestion. It is much appreciated. Thank you very much. You're absolutely right. I'll keep working hard.
Ahh, yes, i hate when line art goes wrong- its always so difficult to fix it again. But even with that, it looks amazing. And ok- i could kinda tell by the background, but i just wanted to make sure. And again- i cant wait until your next drawing is up- just dont work too hard..~ :3
